The Education, Youth and Culture Council brings together Ministers for Education, Culture, Youth and Communication and meets four times a year. The Council comprises the respective ministers of the 25 Member States. Under the Austrian Presidency, Federal Minister Elisabeth Gehrer will preside over the Education Council. Federal Minister for Social Affairs Ursula Haubner will preside over the Youth Council. State Secretary Franz Morak will represent Austria in cultural and media affairs and assume the Presidency in this area in the first half of 2006.
